Question: when I drag in the jpgs into the Eagle folder, is there a way to capture the file location, so I don’t have to do this in 2 steps 1) drag over file 2) go back to original grab the location info and then paste it in the URL. So when I click on it, it takes me directly to that folder with the files. When browsing in Eagle and want to go to that specific folder where i can edit, I put the location drive in the URL in Eagle. So I’ll move over 100 of those designs and drop them into that folder where I can quickly browse (and keep all the PS, Illustrator, video etc. My MacBook has limited storage, so instead of putting all of the files in that folder, I simply have the final. I’m using this app to quickly browse through my previous designs and link back to one quickly. I thought Eagle was it, but unfortunately it is not. I was, and still am missing a good tagger and a good media previewer software for windows. File Juggler: Automatically organize files and folder based on given rules.Folder Marker (equivalent of color tags in macOS).Search Everything: instant search results with many wildcards and other features.I have some tools and software that achieve this and are part of my daily workflow in helping me work faster: If Eagle is supposed to be an organizer, it must compliment structures already in place. why would anyone wanna do this?! If that's the goal of Eagle's developers then they are completely off by a mile.Įven though there are many reasons why we don't wanna delete the original folder structure, I give only one good reason imagine I'm going to have to give a complete copy of a project to a client, if I deleted the original project folder and relied ONLY on Eagle to handle the "organization" of my projects and files, then I'm screwed! I have to pick every single file one by one, and if I forgotten to tag a file or two, then I'm double screwed! I completely agree that its UX and speed is impressive, BUT! I don't wanna destroy my original file structure.
