![]() ![]() Had to finish it once I started and waiting anxiously for it to grow out again.Beard trimmers and electric shavers are useful for some things – namely, trimming your beard and shaving your face. I gave the top of my head a 7 once because I just wasn't paying attention. Have a friend check to make sure you didn't miss anything, and always double check you're putting the right number guide on. Sides I do even or a bit longer than the top section of the back, and hold the clippers bare at an angle to taper it around the ears. The top I do an 11 or 12 right in front and a 10 or 11 over the rest. Make sure you "roll" the clippers up to finish between each section, that way the 4 fades evenly to a 5 which fades evenly to a 6. Sometimes I do it a bit longer - the best part of having clippers is you can keep it just the length you like, rather than getting it super short just to lengthen the time before your next haircut. From the bottom, near the neckline, gets a 4, an inch or so above that a 5, and then starting right about level with the top my ears gets a 6 up to the top. The numbers on the guards on mine represent 8ths of an inch:įor my hair, I divide the back of my head into three areas. If all you want to do is buzz it down to half an inch, it couldn't be easier.įor those who want a simple non-buzz cut, this is what I do. Not just saving money, but being able to groom myself any time is priceless. I stopped going to a barber about ten years ago and it was life-changing. (People sometimes ask if I'm in the military, but I never have been.) It works well for my receding hairline. I ended up going guardless on the back/sides, then blending into a #2 on top, a cut I refer to as "mil-spec". ![]() You literally can feel one hair though if you're careful enough. As others have mentioned, you can feel the ones in back with your hand, but you have to go slow and feel very carefully. Look in different lights/angles to make sure you don't have any stragglers.Brush everything: the wall, light switch, the clippers, cord, behind your ears, your shoulders, backs of your hands, etc. Get a little hand brush to help clean up.Please do this instead of tossing the clippers and buying a new one. If the blade is oiled and ever feels like it's just not cutting well (or worse, pulling hair), then it's time to have the blade sharpened.Might make your head smell like a clean gun for an hour, but whatever. Run it for a second and then turn it off, dab off any excess oil. If the blade looks like it's moving slower than normal or makes a lower pitched sound, put a drop or two of oil on it.>!insert spoiler here!< Other subreddits you might like: some Mod posts Serious posts Megathread Breaking news Unfilter Please use spoiler tags to hide spoilers.
